Welcome to our website

The Maidstone Active Retirement Association (MaidARA) was formed over 30 years ago for people over the age of 50 who are not in paid full-time employment and not a member of any other Active Retirement Association within KentARA. It is a very friendly club which welcomes new members.

We are affiliated to the Kent Active Retirement Association (KentARA).

The club is a non-profit making organisation whose aim is to foster friendship and good fellowship between its members, and to provide opportunities and facilities for social, cultural and leisure activities which will contribute to the mental and physical well being of the members, with the object to ensure a full and active retirement.

We meet at St Paul's Church Hall, Boxley Road.

The regular monthly meetings, held at 1.45 p.m. on the 1st Wednesday, have a guest speaker or entertainer, and are a forum for information on future events and catching up with friends etc. (tea & biscuits inc!)

A Quarterly Newsletter is published to be given out at meetings.

Our present annual full membership fee is £17.50 per person.

We are a Registered Charity (No. 1171910) and if you are a current UK taxpayer you might wish to Gift Aid your Fee donation each year. We can reclaim 25p for every £1 of your membership fee.

We look forward to welcoming new members who will become friends.

Terry Shorter, Chairman.
